Unsaid

Unsaid explores the tension between expression and restraint, capturing the moment just before thought becomes speech. The simplified profile, rendered in a field of warm yellow, suggests presence and identity, while the stark white space opposite it implies absence, silence, or the unknown. Between them, a single black line twists and hesitates, standing in for words that form, falter, and ultimately remain unspoken.

The line functions as both boundary and bridge—an embodiment of inner dialogue, emotional complexity, and the difficulty of articulation. Its irregular movement contrasts with the clean planes of colour, reinforcing the idea that what is felt is rarely as orderly as what is shown. The minimal palette intensifies this relationship, allowing form and gesture to carry meaning without distraction.
